Newburgh School board adopts tax warrant

The Newburgh Board of Education adopted the Tax Warrant for the 2024-2025 school year during its regular meeting on August 13. The collection of district taxes is set to begin September 1, 2024 and to end March 31, 2025.

The total tax levy amount for the school district is a sum of $119,503,115. This amount is from a general fund budget sum of $113,611,615 and Newburgh Free Library fund sum of $5,891,500 added together. With the resolution, it confirms the equalized rates by towns set by the Board of Education of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. The resolution confirms the extension of taxes as they appear on the following described roll for the City of Newburgh, Town of Newburgh, Town of New Windsor and Town of Cornwall.
