Thomas O. Behany, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, May 27, 2024. He was 75.
Son of the late Otto and Constance (Stainonis) Behany, he was born Oct. 28, 1948 in Elizabeth, NJ.
Thomas was a real Property Examiner with N.Y.S. Stewart ANGB, Newburgh. Prior to that Thomas was a U.S.P.S. Postmaster for Stormville, NY for 30 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and went on to retire from the Air National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara A, Behany of Newburgh; a daughter, Katy (Josue) Celestin of Gelnville, NY; a sister, Barbara Sainz of VA; a granddaughter, Lydia Celestin and a nephew, Manuel Sainz.
Memorial Visitation will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, A Funeral Service and Military Honors will follow at 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
