The Vails Gate Fire Department swiftly responded to a reported structure fire with entrapment at 7 Willow Parkway on Saturday, May 11.

Upon arrival, firefighters initiated a second alarm and requested support from Washingtonville FAST, Cornwall Ladder, and Newburgh FD Engine. Town/New Windsor Police and EMS were also present at the scene.

Firefighters effectively contained the blaze using hand lines and conducted thorough checks for extensions. Cornwall-on-Hudson and New Windsor FD provided standby assistance while Town/New Windsor Detectives conducted investigations on-site.

Central Hudson was called to the scene for a power cut, and the fire remains under investigation. Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-14 oversaw operations.

No individuals were found inside the residence.
