Please take notice that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, 6:30 p.m. at the Josephine-Louise Public Library, Village of Walden, second floor of the Municipal Building, 1 Municipal Square, Walden, New York 12586, to afford the voters of the Town of Montgomery outside of the Villages of Maybrook, Montgomery, and Walden, the opportunity to obtain information regarding the following proposition which will appear on the ballot on Tuesday, November 5, 2024: Proposition: To establish the Town of Montgomery allocation for the Josephine-Louise Public Library "SHALL THE ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION OF THE TOWN OF MONTGOMERY - EXCLUDING THE VILLAGES OF MAYBROOK, MONTGOMERY, AND WALDEN - FOR THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE JOSEPHINE-LOUISE PUBLIC LIBRARY BE ESTABLISHED IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR HUNDRED NINETY SIX THOUSAND AND NINETY ONE ($496,091.)
