Summer Reading Program
Adventure begins at your library! The Summer Reading Program ends on August 16. There are three events in the week ahead – an 11 a.m. Balloon Art demonstration on Saturday, Aug. 10; a 3 p.m. Magic Show on Monday, Aug. 12; and ‘Decorate a Library T-Shirt’ all day on Friday, Aug. 16. You need to register for the two shows, and have three stars on your reading chart to participate.

Check out an Adventure Pack!
There are Adventure backpacks at the front desk that can be checked out for three weeks – they’re full of tools to help you enjoy a day in the great outdoors.

Summer Reads!

The Library is currently featuring books about the Olympics and Olympians, National Dog Month, and for ‘Read a Romance’ month.

Book Clubs
There are two book clubs for adults; call or stop by the library to sign up. There are Saturday and Tuesday groups. The Saturday club meets next on August 10, at 11 a.m. and the book is Homecoming by Kate Morton.

Friends of the Library
The Friends meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at the library. New members always welcome.

MahJongg & Canasta
Play American MahJongg every Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. The library staff is looking for Canasta players too!

Notary Public
There is free notary service at the library most Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Call to check availability.

Reading with Dogs

Reading with Dogs is on a Summer break. See you in the Fall!

The Highland Falls Library (845-446-3113) is located at 298 Main St. The library is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesdays; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.
