St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is holding its annual Gyro Grab-N-Go event from Friday, Sept. 6, to Sunday, Sept. 8.
The popular event offers traditional gyros—cooked meat served in a warm pita with tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce made from yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and spices. Other menu items include hot dogs, French fries, loukoumades (Greek honey puffs), and baklava.
The event will be held at the church, located at 19-23 Fullerton Ave., Newburgh. Hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
