Leadership Cornwall deserves

Although I now live in New Windsor, I spent several years as a resident of Cornwall and continue to care deeply about the community and its future. My time in Cornwall gave me a genuine appreciation for its people, the character of the town, and the importance of having leaders who truly understand and value the community they serve.

That is why I feel compelled to share my thoughts about someone I believe can make a meaningful and positive difference for Cornwall.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Angelo Schembari for more than 25 years, and throughout that time, I’ve known him to be smart, driven, principled, and deeply dedicated to his family, friends, and the Cornwall community.

What has always impressed me most is Angelo’s ability to stand firm in his beliefs while still respecting the voices of those who see things differently. He isn’t afraid to voice his opinion, but he also listens. He understands that disagreement does not have to mean disrespect, and that good leadership requires bringing different perspectives to the same table.

Angelo also doesn’t simply “talk the talk”. He rolls up his sleeves, gets involved, and does the work, never losing sight of the larger responsibility: to serve others and leave his community better than he found it. That is the kind of leadership I believe Cornwall deserves.
