New York State Senator James Skoufis spent some time with Town of Highlands senior citizens at the Highland Falls Senior Center last week – he was on hand to give a legislative update, and listen to their concerns and questions. Also on hand were Highlands Supervisor Bob Livsey and Highland Falls Trustee Jen Gargiulo. About two dozen seniors, most bearing refreshments to share, attended the afternoon meeting. As a reminder, Skoufis and his staff will host a picnic (open to seniors of any community) at Munger Cottage (40 Munger Dr., Cornwall). It’s from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
