Town of Highlands Recreation Director Aaron Falk announced this week that it is time for Highland Falls and Fort Montgomery soccer players to be signed up for the season ahead.

“The Recreation Department is now taking sign-ups for our Fall soccer league. Come learn the basics and fundamentals of soccer through practic3s and games with our dedicated coaches and volunteers,” Falk said. “Our program is designed to help kids learn soccer while keeping them motivated and having fun!”
There are three age groups in the league:

– Smart Start for four-and-five-year-olds (with parent participation); $35 per child, played Saturday mornings at Roe Park from 9-10 a.m.

– Junior League for six-to-eight-year-olds; $45 per child; games are Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Highland Falls Intermediate School

– Senior League for nine-to-13-year-olds; $45 per child. Games are played Mondays to Saturdays (dependent on team schedule) on the O’Neill High School fields from 6-8 p.m.

The season runs August 31-November 2. Registration for the league ends on Thursday, Aug. 16. For information on how to register a child, call Falk at 845-446-4280 ext. 318.
