Gertraut Grafe (Trudy) of Highland, formerly of Wallkill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in Highland. She was 92.
The daughter of Elsa Kuttner and Kurt Schneider, she was born May 21, 1929, in Dresden, Germany.
Trudy moved to Wallkill in 1960 and raised her family on the former Borden Estate. She worked for a time in the cafeteria at the Wallkill Middle School.
She was the widow of Fritz M. Grafe.
Survivors include: son Michael Grafe and his Wife Francine Lipani of Brewster, MA., son Ronald Grafe and his Wife Suzanne of Gahanna, OH., son Christopher Grafe and his Wife Laura of Middletown, Grandsons Max, Jason, Eric and Nikolas, and Granddaughter Lindsey; brothers Roland and Peter of Germany.
Cremation and a memorial service will take place privately.
