Highland hosts Easter drive-thru

The Town of Lloyd Events Committee hosted an Easter drive-thru for kids at the Highland Elementary last Saturday. About 180 families signed up for time slots that allowed an orderly flow of cars in and out of the school’s entrance loop.

This year was the first drive-thru hosted by the committee. Pre-Covid-19, they’d have an Easter Egg Hunt where kids run out onto the town field grabbing eggs that are scattered across the grass.

The Committee will be hosting a ‘Spring Market Day’ on May 15 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the town field and parking lot. There will be food vendors, a two by two petting zoo and teen singer/songwriter Laila Mach, a former American Idol contestant from New Paltz.

The committee is hoping that in 2022 they will be able to go back to hosting the Easter Egg Hunt at the town field.
