Self-care can be challenging for people with diabetes. The Highland Public Library is offering diabetes care and education programs with Registered Professional Nurse and Nationally Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist Gary Anello, RN, MSN, CDCES.
Upcoming programs will cover:
• Handling Diabetic Emergencies: January 24, 1 - 3 p.m. Learn how to handle diabetic related emergency situations with confidence and the understanding to promote optimistic outcomes.
• Diabetes: Handling Physical Activity: February 8, 1 - 3 p.m. Learn how to begin, progress and stay safe while doing exercise to help maintain healthy blood sugar levels and reduce diabetes related complications with confidence and understanding. For people who have been diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes.
