Lena Tran won at first singles and Grace Koehler and Jessica Rendon won at first doubles, as the Highland girls’ tennis team beat FDR 5-0 on September 20.

Tran won her match, 6-3, 6-1. Erin Fuller beat Ashley Santos-Perez, 6-1, 6-1, at second singles, and Emma Hanlon beat Destiny Velasquez, 6-1, 6-3, at third singles.

Koehler and Rendon blanked Briahna Cuecio and Emily Culley, 6-0, 6-0. Sreeja Nallamothu and Arianna Wallen beat Bianca Buel and Makeena Ronk, 6-1, 6-2.

The Huskies finished the week with a 3-2 win over the Wallkill Panthers.

Highland improved to 2-2.
