Marie E. Renaud of Marlboro, NY passed away on September 26, 2021 at 100 years old. 

Born in NYC on June 21, 1921, she was the daughter of Rose (Rossi) and Peter Zuzze, sister of Stephen and Anthony Zuzze, widow of Pierre A. Renaud, Jr. of Marlboro, NY and mother of Pierre A. Renaud III, Pamela Renaud  McCourt (Dennis), Marguerite T. Renaud,  Jean Paul Renaud, Marc A. Renaud (Carmen) and Laura Mahan Renaud.  Her grandchildren are Mark J. McCourt, Christopher Renaud, Kathleen M. McCourt,  Eliza Renaud,  Jean Pierre Renaud, Justin Renaud, Matthew L. Mahan, Ethan Renaud, Luke Mahan, Patrick Renaud and 5 great grandchildren; John, Brendan, Liam, Gabriel & Caylee.

 Marie attended Catholic elementary and high school in Brooklyn and went on to Flower Fifth Avenue School of Nursing, graduating in 1944. Having been in the Cadet Nursing  Corps, she then interned with the Navy Nurse Corps, obtaining the rank of Ensign. After marriage to Lt. Pierre A. Renaud, Jr. at the end of WW II, she and her husband lived in various places and finally moved to Marlboro in 1950. Marie worked for the Ulster County Health Department out of Kingston until she became certified as a school nurse and worked in the Marlboro Central School District until her retirement in 1985, when she took painting classes and became a member of the Hudson Valley Tole and Decorative Painters.

 Visitation will be private.

 A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church, 1209 Route 9W, Marlboro to which family and friends are invited.
