Meineke site to be re-developed

The former Meineke service station, located at 1295 Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh, has been demolished and cleared in anticipation of its redevelopment. The property is currently under the ownership of ADS Properties, LLC and Pietrzak & Pfau Engineering & Surveying, PLLC out of Goshen are representing the project.

The .062 plus or minus property, located in an interchange business [IB] zone, involves the demolition of the former service station for a newly constructed 3,500 plus or minus square foot car wash facility. Existing sewer and water connections will service the new site. The project would service customers from seven in the morning to eight in the evening daily and would integrate a digital service system for customers to help move the process along.

With the site along a current state road, comments from the New York State Department of Transportation were requested as the project had proposed a right turn into the site. The right turn would allow for easier access but concerns had been brought forward about making the left onto 300 as that stretch of road can be treacherous to drivers. The project appeared back on February 3, 2022 for a public hearing with several comments noted by MHE Engineering, but no further updates have been made on this site other than the demolition of the former service station.
