MES hosts a Veteran’s Day motorcade

Posted

Marlboro Elementary School students paid tribute to their local heroes by inviting former servicemen and women from throughout the community to take part in a Veterans Day Motorcade on November 10. The veterans arrived at the school in the afternoon and drove their vehicles through the parking lot, which was lined with students waving American flags, displaying handmade signs, and shouting out their appreciation to the brave men and women for their service to our country. It was a terrific show of patriotism that our students are sure to remember for a long time!

Do not miss your chance to place an order for Marlboro High School’s annual BBQ Fundraiser, which will take place on Monday, November 22. Pickups will be available from 5-6:30 p.m.

Do not forget that Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place in person throughout the District on Monday, November 22, and Tuesday, November 23. These conferences are a wonderful opportunity for parents to touch base with their child’s teacher(s) regarding academic progress. Our teachers are eager to discuss this progress and work with parents to help ensure student success. We encourage parents to take advantage of the following Parent/Teacher Conference dates that are scheduled:

Monday, November 22, Marlboro Elementary School: 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. & 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Marlboro Middle School: 4:30 – 7 p.m., Marlboro High School: 5 – 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, November 23, Marlboro Elementary School: 12:30 – 3:30 p.m., Marlboro Middle School: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Marlboro High School: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Teachers will be sharing information with parents on how they can sign up for an appointment. If you have any questions at this time, please contact your child’s teacher.

Marlboro Free Library and Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library thank to everyone who donated to our food drive this year!

We filled over six boxes of non-perishable food items to donate to St. Mary’s Food Pantry.

As the holidays are quickly approaching, we thought it would be nice to offer “Holiday Extras” in their grocery bags. Some items we do not purchase for the weekly bags that are given out. For example: cake mixes, icing, cookie mixes, brownie mixes, sugar, hot chocolate, gravy, candy canes, etc. or anything thing of which you can think. It would be nice to provide some of these items for the families to enjoy some holiday treats.
