Several streets to be paved by the fall

Newburgh City Council approved several change order resolutions with TAM Enterprises, Inc that will see several city roads repaved by this year and curb ramps to be built as well. City Engineer Jason Morris presented these change orders to the council during the work session.

Currently along Third St, that is one of the roads anticipated to be repaved, the city is working on infrastructure located near the Downing Park pond. 9W to Johnston St. was also anticipated to receive fully completed paving as well. The pond a/k/a the Polly, was set to have been drained for that anticipated maintenance work.

According to Morris, there has already been positive feedback from the city residents regarding the new curb ramps that would be constructed. The curb ramps according to Morris, should be nearing completion soon. Fullerton Avenue was one specific road that Mayor Torrance Harvey briefly inquired about at the work session, and the road should see paving completed on it as well.
