3 wounded in shooting incidents

On June 25, 2022, at 3 a.m., two Beacon residents arrived at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital for gunshot wounds. One victim was male and the other was female, both are 23 years old. The female victim was shot in the foot and the male victim was shot in the calf.

At this time a location for this shooting has not yet been identified.

On June 26, at 11:55 p.m., ShotSpotter notified police of 4 rounds fired in the 200 block of Lander Street. The City of Newburgh Mobile Police Precinct stationed at Liberty Street and

South Street also heard the shots and responded on foot. A 17-year-old City of Newburgh resident was identified as the victim. The victim was taken to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital for a gunshot wound to his back. The victim was later transported to Westchester Medical Center.

Police are looking for any witnesses who may been in the area at the time of these incidents.
