Carrie Ackerman Lewis Sandhage of Montgomery entered into rest on Thursday, February, 23, 2023, after a long illness. She was 84.

Carrie was retired from George M Carroll bus company where she worked driving special needs children to and from school. Before that, she was a seamstress at a few different factories in the Montgomery area.

She loved the sunshine and warming her legs by a campfire.  Carrie enjoyed her trips to Rhode Island and sitting on the jetty at Charleston Breachway.

Locally they fished at Bull's pond at West Point. Carrie loved and lived for her family.

She was very fond of her animals including her goldfish and her many dogs throughout her life. She loved her cat Sassy that she had up till the end.
