Catherine Frances Yarosz Caston (Kathy) passed peacefully at her home on December 15, 2022, in Pine Bush, New York with her husband, Leon Caston and her dog Cooper at her side.
Kathy was born on November 22, 1963 in Middletown. She had been seriously ill since August of this year. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Emily Yarosz and a brother, Jerry France.
She is survived by her husband of thirty plus years, Leon Caston, as well as her two sons, Jason (Daria) Caston and Ryan Caston, granddaughter Kinsley Brynn Caston, all of Pine Bush. She leaves behind her sister, Beverly Graham of Virginia, her brother, John Yarosz of Pine Bush, nieces and nephews, Michael Wagner, Rebecca Ferguson, Johnny Yarosz and Emily Yarosz. Kathy worked as a Registered Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital for her entire career and was well loved for her skill and the loving care she gave her patients. She served in The National Guard as a Lt. Nurse from 1988-1989. Kathy loved her hometown, living and raising her boys in the home her father built when she was a child. She had a love for animals, including dogs BJ, Rocky, PD, and Cooper, along with many cats. An avid softball player in her youth, Kathy was loved for her contagious laugh and easy smile.
A Memorial Celebration of Life service is planned for March 11, 2023 at the Yarosz Farm. Donations in her memory can be made to the Humane Society of Middletown, 142 Bloomingburg Rd, Middletown.
