Last week, 23 sixth-to-twelfth graders performed the musical “Mean Girls Jr.” for five different audiences (if you count open dress rehearsals) in the Walter Reade Theatre at Storm King School. The show, directed by Bridget Carty, choreographed by Denise Carter, and with Jessica Henry as the musical director, wowed audiences of all ages with their singing, dancing and stage manipulation.
The cast included Ethan Gordon (Damian), Signy Johnson (Janis Sarkisian), Karlee King (Cady Heron), Samantha Sestok (Mrs. Heron), Jack Baxter (Mr. Heron), Hayley Rutenber (Taylor), Nola Betty (Caitlyn), Lily Baxter (Rachel), Lucy Dietsch (Sonja Acquino), Jacob Carter (Mr. Duvall), Piper Clark (Ms. Norbury), Raegan Clark (French Teacher), Oliver Masucci (Coach Carr), Chynna Saffer (Regina George), Emily Brady/Fiona Carty (Gretchen Wieners), Macie Stermer (Karen Smith), Benjamin Gatsik (Glenn Cocco), James Lahtinen (Aaron Samuels), Oliver Masucci (Shane Oman), Jack Baxter (Kevin G.), Sophia Kelly (Mrs. George), Arabella Bigelow (Dawn), Rose Paliotta (Grace), Elizabeth Westbrook (Lizzie), Zoey Martinez (Sophie), Raegan Clark (Teary Girl), Benjamin Gatsik (Martin), Zachary Viel (Marymount 1), Jacob Lahtinen (Marymount 2) and Lucy Dietsch (Caroline Krafft).
They were supported by a student ensemble including: Payton Walsh, Victoria Clayton, Cassia Gerson, Fiona Carty, Emily Brady, Arabella Bigelow, Rose Paliotta and Zoey Martinez; and a crew made up of adults, teens and campers.
