Dine for Dollars this February

Posted

The Business Council of Greater Montgomery is hosting another Dine for Dollars event which helps both local restaurants and residents in need.

Dine for Dollars is an annual event that features different businesses in Montgomery, Maybrook and Walden for the month of February. Every day, a different restaurant will be highlighted to encourage people to visit. The best part: five percent of your bill goes to the Montgomery Food Pantry, and you can dine in or take it to go. The idea is to support local businesses while also helping feed different people in need.

This year the event has a “school lunch” premise, with each day having a different theme. Some include “Taco Tuesday,” and “Family Meal Friday.” In March of 2021, the Business Council was able to provide the Montgomery Food Pantry with a $4,300 check. This included both Dine for Dollars contributions and a donation from Waldens Savings Bank. Last year they raised $550.

More information can be found on the Business Council’s Facebook, where they’ve been promoting the event.
