The Marlboro and Highland track and field teams split the boys’ and girls’ dual meets on Friday afternoon with the Iron Dukes and Huskies’ girls posting victories at Highland High School.

The meet went off despite wet throwing areas. However, the long jump, triple jump and pole vault were not contested due to standing water.

Margaret Petty won two events, leading the Highland girls to a 58-46 victory. Petty posted victories in the 100-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles.

Mollie Lass won the 400-meter hurdles to lead a Highland sweep.
Morgan Dunn won the 400-meter dash and Eric Angelillo won the 3,000-meter run. Erin Smith won the high jump.

Highland won the 3,200-meter relay.

Marlboro’s Emma Elizondo and Juliana Juras won two events each for Marlboro. Elizondo won the 1,500- and 800-meter runs, while Juras won the discus and the shot put.

Colin Robertson and Dom Valentino won two events each leading the Marlboro boys to a 69-36 win over the Huskies.

Robertson won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and Valentino was victorious in 1,600- and 800-meter runs.

Connor Baxter won the 400-meter hurdles and Antonio Hickman won the high jump. Trace Napoli won the discus.

The Iron Dukes won the 3,200-meter relay.

Ryan Pikul won the 400-meter dash for Highland and Daiven Leath won the 110-meter hurdles. Alexander Papazov won the 3,200-meter run.

The Huskies won the 400-meter relay.
