Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack is pleased to announce that on Saturday, September 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Friends of Historic Kingston will host an exhibit at the Matthewis Persen House Museum located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Join members from the Friends of Historic Kingston as they share their vast knowledge regarding Uptown, the Stockade National Historic District, and Downtown, the Rondout National Historic District, and the Fred J. Johnston House. A special video presentation of History of Early Dutch in Kingston by Nancy Chando will be played throughout the day. Also learn about their current exhibit “Signs of the Times, The Modjeska Sign Studio, Kingston, New York”.

“The Friends of Historic Kingston have been a long-time supporter of the Persen House,” said County Clerk Postupack. “Guests always enjoy speaking with them and learning about all of the many different aspects of Kingston’s history. Their knowledge helps people to appreciate and possibly gain a new perspective on the buildings and landmarks around us.”
