The Highland Central School District is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, which went live on January 10, 2025. The website can be found at the same URL: www.highland-k12.org.
The new and improved website, which was a collaborative effort between the HCSD Technology Department and a cooperative service offered by Ulster BOCES, presents important District information in a more user-friendly and efficient layout. It features a responsive design that adapts to any device so content is easier to navigate.
The new site is accessible for individuals with disabilities and provides quick and easy access to tools specific to students, families, and staff. The homepage features a social media feed, news, and announcements, as well as a redesigned events calendar that allows information to be at users’ fingertips.
The website includes an advanced search tool that will help ensure that users can easily find what they are looking for. They can also find photos of students and staff and easily identified icons to take visitors to popular content, such as school lunch menus and a staff directory.
HCSD Superintendent Joel Freer is thrilled to share the new website with the community. “Its new features are user-friendly and allow for easy access to important elements,” he said. “Overall, we hope to provide a seamless user experience while enhancing school-to-home communication via these new features.”
The District encourages the community to visit the website throughout the winter as it continues to add additional information.
