Honor a Veteran with dinner

Posted

Honor a fellow veteran at the Town of Wallkill’s “Valentine With a Veteran Spaghetti Dinner,” a free event hosted by the Town of Wallkill Police Youth Coalition.

The dinner is welcome to everyone, and guests are encouraged to bring a veteran if they know one. The Town of Wallkill American Legion Post 1181 and the Rotary Club will be attending as well. “We ask people that if they have a veteran, bring them so we could break bread with them for Valentine’s Day,” The Town of Wallkill Police Youth Coalition Coordinator Rosie Otero- Walsh mentioned.

Youth Coalition members will assist in the dinner and the preparation of it. Walsh mentioned that it will be all hands on deck. “One of our youth members was in BOCES and did culinary, so they’re going to help cook.”

The event is February 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wallkill Community Center. Guests are asked to RSVP with Walsh at 845-820-8486.
