Huskie boys post four lacrosse wins

It was a busy week for the Highland boys’ lacrosse team as the Huskies posted four victories, including their first three league wins.

The opened the week on April 19 with a 10-2 win over New Paltz. Dean Klotz scored four goals and Logan Zehr had two goals, while A.J. Palmer had two goals and two assists. Matt Castellani scored a goal and Shaun Piegari had a goal. Osei Adoma, Frankie Guidi and Chris Mooradian each had an assist.

Landon Zehr made 17 saves.

After a day off the Huskies posted a 15-7 win over Red Hook on Wednesday as Klotz scored five goals and made two assists. Guidi had three goals, and Palmer had three goals and one assist. Logan Zehr had two goals and two assists. Castellani and Adoma each had a goal and an assist.

Landen Zehr made eight saves.

The Huskies then posted a 19-1 non-league win over the FDR Presidents on Friday.

Klotz scored seven goals and had three assists, while Palmer had four goals and two assists. Ben Canino scored two goals and had two assists while Logan Zehr had two goals and an assist. Guidi had two goals and an assist while Shaun Piegari had a goal. Taki Bakatsias had a goal and an assist.

Mike Murphy made three assists.

Landan Zehr made seven saves.

The Huskies finished the week with a 20-1 win over Saugerties.

Palmer had six goals and six assists for 12 total points and Klotz had five goals and an assist. Guidi had three goals and an assist and Adoma had two goals and two assists.

Castellani, Canino and Mooradian had a goal and an assist each. Ryan Auchmoody had an assist.

Landen Zehr had two saves.
