Lady graces Montgomery with NYC vibes

Partners in life and now in business, Justin and Keith Lynch, co-owners of the new restaurant and bar, Lady, are bringing a New York City feel to the Village of Montgomery. After making their way to the Hudson Valley during the pandemic, the duo are the proud owners of the new restaurant located at 91 Clinton Street. The establishment is named after their beloved black German Shepherd mix, Lady, who is often a fixture with the duo around town.

“Before the pandemic started we were looking to move up here to the Hudson Valley because we loved it, and then the pandemic happened as we were deciding to make the move and here we are,” said Keith of their new home.

With a background in culinary arts, Chef Justin trained at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City with a focus on organic farm to table cuisine and later trained in Tuscany, Italy where he honed his culinary skills. He went on to be a private chef in New York City and the Hamptons in addition to working in some of the most prestigious restaurants in New York City including Nobu and BG.

Friends and clients in the Hudson Valley soon gave them the idea to open a restaurant after tasting his work and the rest is history. Chef Justin is eager to bring the Manhattan food flare to Montgomery, with the menu having French, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Spanish and Italian influences. Produce will be sourced from nearby Hoeffner Farms just down the street which is essential to the duo.

With deep blue walls, golden accents, black and white flooring and stunning interior design, Lady, offers patrons a unique feeling when they step through the door, as if they have been transported into a New York City dining establishment.

“The restaurant space is very intimate. We built everything inside with the help of our interior designer and we’re really proud of it. We’re excited to bring a taste of Manhattan to upstate,” said Keith. The duo shared that plans are also underway for the possibility of outdoor dining in the future.
