The Marlboro 8U Cal Ripken team won the District 3 championship on Saturday at the Highland Babe Ruth Park.

Both Marlboro and Highland will advance to the Southern New York Cal Ripken 8U championships, starting Wednesday at the Beekman Recreational Complex in Hopewell Junction.

All other area Cal Ripken baseball teams have already been playing in the Southern New York tournament.

Marlboro reached the semifinals of the 9U tournament, where the team saw its season end with a 3-2 loss to New Paltz. Highland lost both of its Pool A games to New Paltz and East Fishkill, but Marlboro eliminated them from bracket play.

Marlboro split its pool play games with a win over Kingston and a loss to Poughkeepsie.

Marlboro lost all three of its Pool Play games in the 10U tournament. The four teams played off in a single elimination format, but results were not available at press time.

The 12U Dukes earned the final seed in Pool Play and advanced to the single-elimination bracket tournament on Sunday. Results were not available by press time.
Marlboro split its two Pool Play games with wins over New Paltz and Highland. They lost to East Fishkill and Poughkeepsie.

Highland lost all four of its Pool Play games.

The 13U Marlboro Wildcats picked up two wins in the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League.
