Mayor announces development meeting

Highland Falls Mayor Joe D’Onofrio has announced that he will host a meeting at the village’s Senior Citizen Center (off Drew Ave.) at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6 to “bring together key stakeholders and address recent discussions surrounding development in Highland Falls”.

“In an effort to promote transparency and collaboration,” he said, “the meeting follows recent discussions between myself and members of the Town Board, as well as a separate meeting with the Association of Graduates, regarding their planned development on Main St. Recognizing there may be some misinformation circulating, I am bringing all parties to the table to ensure open communication and a shared understanding of future plans.”

He said topics on the agenda will include AOG’s mission and vision for Highland Falls; the CONNECT program at the Highland Falls Intermediate School; the AOG’s portfolio and future development plans; and updates on the Park Restaurants reopening.

“This is an important opportunity for everyone involved to come together, clarify information, and work toward a shared vision for Highland Falls,” D’Onofrio said. “I encourage residents and stakeholders to attend, ask questions and be part of the discussion.”

He said he will also discuss “establishing regular meetings every four to five weeks to continue these conversations”.

With questions, he said to call him at 845-446-3400.
