Join the animals and Educators of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum for some post-holiday fun at the special Thanksgiving Weekend at the Wildlife Education Center! The Wildlife Education Center, or WEC, is located at 25 Boulevard, Cornwall-on-Hudson and will be open for hourly visits from 12pm to 4pm on Friday, November 26, Saturday, November 27, and Sunday, November 28.

The WEC is home to many animals that can be found in our local woods, fields, ponds and rivers including rabbits, turtles, frogs, toads, salamanders, snakes and fish. As well as a screech owl, a great horned owl, and of course the crowd favorite, Edgar, our resident crow that says "hello!"  “Meet the Animals” is back for this special weekend with presentations on the half hour of every session where visitors will learn all about one of the resident Animal Ambassadors and meet them up close. 

This weekend only, receive a free gift with every in-person purchase of any level of Animal Sponsorship, in addition to all of the regular perks. Any Animal Sponsorship purchased online this weekend will receive a free personalized Sponsorship Certificate Postcard in the mail. Animal sponsorships make uniquely wonderful holiday presents! This weekend is an excellent time to start your Holiday shopping in our Nature Shop. With gifts for all ages, including science kits, books, toys, bird houses. and more, find the perfect presents all while supporting the programs and Animals of HHNM! Admission to this weekend is free for Nature Museum Members & children ages 2 and under, and $5 for Not-yet-Members.
