Supervisor George Meyers has announced that the Town of New Windsor Emergency Medical Services (Ambulance Corps) has been designated a provider for the COVID-19 vaccine by New York State.

“I want to acknowledge all the hard work our Ambulance Corps did to qualify for this designation,” said Meyers. We are awaiting notification from New York State as to when we will receive the vaccines. As most of you know, there is a problem getting the vaccine to providers.”

He stressed that the town does not yet have the vaccine, but that  ambulance personnel are ready to provide the vaccinations to the designated groups as soon as it becomes available.

Effective Monday January 25th residents may call the Town’s Recreation Dept. at 565-7750 between 11am-3pm to be placed on a waiting list. Please only call if you are currently part of an eligible group.
