The Newburgh boys indoor track team delivered a series of impressive performances at the Hispanic Games at the New York Armory on Friday and Saturday, showcasing depth and talent across multiple events.
The freshman 4x400-meter relay team of Autro Martinez, Masin James, Robert Robinson, and Benjamin Bermudez blazed to victory, clocking 3:52.60 for first place.
Not to be outdone, the sophomore 4x400-meter relay squad of Giwenn Eloge, Bryan Arenas, Moosa Shahhan, and De Juan McKenzie also secured first place with a time of 4:36.50.
In the sophomore 4x200-meter relay, the “A” team, composed of McKenzie, Eloge, Arenas, and Jaden Williams, dominated the field to claim first place in 1:35.35. The “B” team of Moosa Shannan, Marcus Burk, Eddy Alverez, and Enix Vega also impressed, finishing third with a time of 1:39.82.
Individually, Jaden Williams excelled in the triple jump, leaping to a second-place finish with a mark of 40 feet, 3 inches.
The meet concluded with Brady Danyluk delivering a standout performance in the varsity mile on Saturday, capturing first place with a commanding time of 4:25.98.
