Pine Bush welcomes the holiday season

Posted

This past Saturday was filled with holiday cheer for Pine Bush residents as they gathered outside the Pine Bush Volunteer Ambulance Corps for their annual Christmas tree lighting.

The event was put on by the Pine Bush Lions Club and Ambulance Corps, consisting of a tree lighting at 5 p.m., cookie decorating, carols from the Pine Bush Upper Choirs and a meet-and-greet with Santa. The cookies were donated by Pine Bush’s All Things Delicious, who brought gingerbread mitten cookies.

The Lions Club shared their gratitude to Facebook for the large outcome. “Along with providing a Santa visit and some fun for the kids, our goal was to gather new PJs to support our county kids in foster care. As usual, the Pine Bush community came through and by the looks of the table we collected a whole lot of PJs.”

The event was a large success and many local families attended.
