Ray C. Smith, of New Windsor, NY, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on September 25, 2022 after a long illness. He was 86.
Ray was born on September 24, 1936 in Chambersburg, PA. He was the son of the late Paul Smith and Carrie Smith (Stoner). He had 11 siblings. After graduating high school, Ray served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for many years in the coffee industry as a account representative, both making deliveries and servicing restaurant and commercial accounts.
He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He loved to cook, trips to Atlantic City and most of all his family.
Ray is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth (Paulercio), his daughters Jeanine and her husband Lawrence Rufo; Lynnette and her husband George Usher; Jacqueline and her husband Brian Prince; and his son Daniel Valeri and his wife Cynthia; his grandchildren Michael Rufo, George (Trey) and Sam Usher, Rosette and Jack Prince, and Nico and Dominic Valeri; his brother Donald Smith and his sister Evelyn Fleagle; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a private memorial service.
