Roy M. Patt, Jr. 78, of Salisbury, New York and formerly of Walden, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in the comfort of his own home with his family.
He was born on December 19, 1944 in Walden, and was the son of the late Roy and Harriet (Pimm) Patt, Sr. Roy was educated at Valley Central High School in Montgomery, New York and graduated with the Class of 1963. He then went on to attend Orange County Community College and transferred to IBM Tech School.
On October 14, 1967, Roy was united in marriage to Donna M. Morris at the Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. The couple shared 55 years of marriage together and raised their two daughters in a loving home.
Roy was formerly employed with IBM in Fishkill, New York for 20 years and then went on to Hypres in Elmsford, New York for an additional 15 years and retired in 2004.
In his spare time, Roy enjoyed sports memorabilia. His most favorite time was spent in the company of his wife, daughters and their husbands and his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna M. Patt at home; two daughters, Jennifer Bailey and her husband, Shane of Newport, NY and Jacqueline Trosclair and her husband, Edgar of Pine Bush, NY; cherished grandchildren, Mollie Searles, Max Searles, Brady Tosclair and Tanner Trosclair.
Roy was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Georgia Kirby.
In keeping with family wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf Street, Dolgeville, New York 13329.
The family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of New Hartford for their compassion, care and support that was shown to Roy and his family.
