Panther boys suffer first lacrosse loss
Colin McCartney scored eight goals and had one assist in the Wallkill boys’ lacrosse team’s 15-14 loss against Maryland’s North County High School on April 12.
Julian Gries scored two goals and had one assist for the Panthers (4-1) and John Canavan scored a goal and Austin Palen scored a goal, had an assist, and won 24 of 29 faceoffs. Richie Martinez scored a goal and Ty Crowley had a goal and five assists.
Alec Petroccelli-Henry made eight saves.

Wallkill girls crush Seward
Jenna Galasso had four hits, falling a home run short of the cycle, scored three runs and drove in two in the Wallkill softball team’s 11-0 win over S.S. Seward on Wednesday.
Jen Devens had two hits, including a two-run triple to get the Panthers on the board. Sam Dembinsky had two hits, including a three-run home run, in the seventh. She scored two runs.
Overall, the Panthers racked up 16 hits, seven of which went for extra bases.
In the circle, Olivia Lowery scattered three hits and a walk over 7 innings.

Kaitlin Stolowski had a double and Katie Mulhare and Haley Carmack each singled.
Two days earlier, the Panthers suffered a 10-1 Mid Hudson Athletic League Division I loss to Saugerties.

Lady Colts sweep doubleheader
SUNY Orange Lady Colts won both games of a double header vs. Monroe Express from the Bronx last Tuesday.

Erin Feeney struck out one, walked one and allowed two earned runs as the Lady Colts won 10-2 in a 5 inning game.
Kayla Consolo went 3 for 4 with a double. C.Jamison had a double and A. Miller added a triple. Erin Warner was 3 for 4 with a home run.
The second game came down to a Chloe Jamison single to score Erin Warner in the bottom of the 7th inning as the Lady Colts defeated.
Winning Pitcher Jess Stewart struck out one and walked one, allowing 3 earned runs off 9 hit in the 7 - 6 SUNY Orange victory.
Jess Stewart was 2 for 3 with a home run. Kayla Consolo was 3 for 4 ..Meg Clune had a 2-run double and Kayla McNamara was 2 for 3
