Huskies top Millbrook
Sophie Valentino scored two goals and one assist, leading the Highland Huskies to a 4-1 win over the Millbrook Blazers on Oct. 15 at Highland High School.

Ava Acompora scored a goal and an assist, while Sadie Hollifield had one goal. Aly Bonelli had an assist.
Highland coach Rebecca Palmatier said defenders Kaylee Arciuolo, Bonelli, Olivia Casado and Daniella Guidi played a great game.

The Huskies suffered a 3-0 loss to the Red Hook Raiders on Friday.

The Huskies are 6-9-0, 4-7,0 MHAL.

Huskies sweep Rhinebeck

Cadence Meltz had 13 digs, as the Highland Huskies defeated the Rhinebeck Hawks, 3-0, in a Mid Hudson Athletic League volleyball match on Oct. 15 at Rhinebeck.

Kelcey Shalen added five kills, two digs and Amelia DelForno had 12 assists, one dig and two aces. Avery Sosnick had seven assists, one dig and six aces while Annabella Bruschetti had six kills and two digs.

Kaia Rouse led Rhinebeck with eight assists and four digs, while Madison Ranalli had three kills, six assists and two digs. Alana Park had two kills, one assist, five digs, two blocks and an ace.

Webutuck forfeited Friday’s match, and the Huskies were awarded a 3-0 victory.

Rosenberg leads local field in MHAL Boys Golf

Marlboro’s Tyler Rosenberg finished tied for 10th at the Mid Hudson League boys’ golf tournament at Apple Greens Golf Course with an 18-stroke score of 83, qualifying for this spring’s Section 9 tournament.

Colin Benninger finished tied for 19th with a score of 87. Miles Giansante finished tied for 37th with teammate Hunter Pitkin with a score of 99 but did not make the Section 9 cut. Pat Tarsio finished 48th with a score of 116.
