Support Ukrainian Freedom fundraiser scheduled

The North Plank Road Tavern in Newburgh is hosting a Support Ukrainian Freedom fundraiser on Wednesday March 9th to support Ukrainian Relief Efforts in conjunction with St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, and The Jewish Community Center of Newburgh. 

The event will begin at 4:30.p.m.  Suggested Donation is $20 and complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be passed and a cash bar available. 

There will be entertainment and representatives of the concerned groups will be available to discuss their relief efforts. . Raffles are being arranged to raise money for relief. 

Scheduled speakers include Orange County Historian Joanna Porr Yaun, Rev. Yaroslav Kostyk of St. Andrew's Ukranian Catholic Church, Rabbi Rosner of Congregation Agudas Israel and Sarah Wassberg Johnson, The Food Historian. Also speakking will be Kyle Gilligan, regional Upstate New York and Connecticut Stoll Sales Manager and Thomas Costa, owner of the North Plank Road Tavern and a member of the first class of collegiate exchange students to study in the Soviet Union in 1972.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and sponsors 100% of the proceeds from the evening will be dedicated to Ukrainian Relief efforts. The tavern is located at 30 Plank Road in the Town of Newburgh.
