Christine Berté, dean of the School of Nursing at Mount Saint Mary College, will conclude this semester’s Investigating Research on Campus (iROC) series with “Telemedicine: Are We Healthy Enough to Survive It?” on Thursday, April 21 at 4 p.m.

The talk will be held on campus a 330 Powell Ave., Newburgh, in the Dominican Center, room 218.

Telemedicine has been used in healthcare for a long time now, but with the advent of the pandemic, it has become rather predominant. This presentation will provide perspectives from both healthcare providers and patients that use this provision of healthcare.

“As recipients of healthcare, there are pros and cons to this, but are we aware of how we should interact during these visits to garner the most from our healthcare provider?” asks Berté.

Berté has decades of experience in academia. Along with teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels in Nursing education for more than 30 years, she also practiced in adolescent medicine for more than 25 years.
