Teen injured in Newburgh shooting

On June 27, 2022, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the City of Newburgh Police Department received a ShotSpotter notification in the area of North Miller St. Upon arrival Officers located a 16-year-old male who had a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers quickly applied a tourniquet to the injured male. A Town of Newburgh Ambulance responded to the scene and transported the male to St. Luke’s Hospital for further treatment. 

     At this time this incident is being investigated by the City of Newburgh Police Department’s Detective Division.
