On Saturday, Maybrook Firefighters were called to a reported vehicle fire on the Eastbound on ramp to 84, shortly after 5 p.m. Upon arrival, they found an active tractor-trailer fire, which had extended into the trailer and some of its contents. With the help of Coldenham Firefighters, the fire was kept to a portion of the rear of the trailer.

During the incident, a motor vehicle accident was observed on the westbound side, and members along with NYSP, NYSDOT, a HELP truck and the Town of Montgomery Ambulance checked on the situation. One patient from the MVA was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

The fire was successfully contained thanks to the quick response of Maybrook Firefighters and the assistance of Coldenham Firefighters, NYSP, NYSDOT, Quality, and OC Fire Investigation Division.

No further information was provided on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
