Devin Loprieno swept the hurdles events, leading the Valley Central boys’ track and field team to a 73-67 win over the Kingston on March 29 in the season opener for both teams.

The Vikings and Tigers tied the girls’ meet, 69-69.

Azaziah Marshall also picked up two wins for the Vikings, winning the 200-meter dash, and the high jump.

Elijah Bellinger won the 100-meter dash and Dylan Kresge won the 400.

The Vikings swept all three relay events to squeeze out the victory.

Riley Conan won three events to lead the girls’ team. She pulled out victories in the long jump, triple jump and the pole vault.

Isabella Wade won the 100- and 200-meter dashes for the Vikings, and Ava Carsley won the 3,000-meter run.

Bianca Staples won the high jump and Catherine Primavera won the 400-meter hurdles.
