The Weekend of Wallkill is the first of the fall events in the Wallkill Hamlet. Next up, children can participate in decorating the hamlet’s sidewalks by taking part in Halloween’s Art Along the Sidewalk. Get into the “SPIRIT” and decorate your home/yard to best express your vision of Halloween for the Haunted Hamlet of Wallkill. Post a picture of your decorations to our Vision of Wallkill Facebook page by October 28. With the hundreds of pumpkins that will decorate homes and doorsteps this season, many wind up in landfills at the end of the season. Instead, bring your Halloween Pumpkins and Jack O’lanterns and smash them on November 4, 1 - 2 p.m. at the Town of Shawangunk Transfer Station.
Join VOW at their next meeting on Thursday, October 12 at 6:30 p.m. to share your ideas and plan and implement these upcoming festivities. Meetings are the second Thursday of the month in the Community Room at the Shawangunk Town Hall. Learn more about VOW and events on our Facebook and Instagram pages or visionofwallkill.com.
