The Town of Newburgh Planning Board presented a proposal on Thursday, January 20, for the demolition of the former Sterling National Bank building located in the Newburgh Towne Center. It was proposed to be torn down and constructed into a WellNow Urgent Care facility.
Sumeet Desai of GWG Construction Management & Consulting and Justin Dates of Colliers Engineering and Design presented the project to the board.
According to Desai, the WellNow company is a subsidiary of the Aspen Dental company.
Planning Board member David Dominick asked if the facility would operate 24 hours a day. “It is not a 24 hour facility,” Desai said. “It is for quick visits.”
