The Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League regular season ended early last week, and the summer playoffs began Friday and Saturday.

Two Pine Bush Rebels teams (10U, 14U) and two Hudson Valley Storm teams (12U, HS/Legion) have advanced in their respective tournaments.

The championships will be played over the weekend in Danbury.

Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League

10U Division 4
Black Dirt Barnstormers 13, PB Rebels 7
Black Dirt Barnstormers 5, PB Rebels 0
The Black Dirt Barnstormers swept a doubleheader from the Pine Bush Rebels on July 21 at Pine Bush Town Park.
The Barnstormers broke a 7-7 tie with three runs in the fifth inning to win the first game. They added three more in the sixth inning.
The Barnstormers shut out the Rebels in the second game and limited them to one hit.

Playoffs
First Round
No. 8 PB Rebels 8, No. 9 Ossining Pride
The Rebels pulled out a walk-off win in the bottom of the eighth inning over the Ossining Pride to advance in the playoffs on Saturday at Pine Bush Town Park.

The Pride scored first with a run in the top of the third inning, but the Rebels scored four times in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. After the Pride re-took the lead with four of their own, the Rebels tied the game in the fifth. Each team scored once in the sixth.
The Pride took the lead in the top of the eighth inning, but the Rebels scored two in the bottom of the eighth to secure the victory and move on to Monday’s quarterfinal game against the top-seeded Kent White Sox B.

11U Crossover
Wallkill Panthers 2, Barnstormers 1
Wallkill Panthers 15, Barnstormers 6

The Wallkill Panthers swept a doubleheader from the Black Dirt Barnstormers on July 21 at Wallkill Area Little League.
The Panthers walked off the Barnstormers in the first game with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Barnstormers took a 1-0 lead in the second inning and Wallkill tied the game in the third.

11U Division 3
Wallkill Panthers 10, New Paltz Knights 8
The Wallkill Panthers led the whole way and held off the New Paltz Knights for victory.

The Panthers took a 3-2 lead after the first inning and then a 6-4 lead after the third. The Knights closed to within a run in the fifth before Wallkill scored two more in the sixth for some much-needed insurance.

12U Crossover
Marlboro Marlins 11, HV Storm Two 0
The Marlboro Marlins scored nine runs in the first two innings to rout the Hudson Valley Storm Two on July 21 at New Windsor Little League.
They scored three runs in the first inning, six in the second, and two in the fourth. The game was called by the 10-run rule.

Alex Fernandez no-hit the Storm and struck out 11.
12U Division 4
Hudson Valley Hawks White 18,
Pine Bush Rebels White 4
The Hudson Valley Hawks White scored 14 runs in the sixth inning on their way to a win over the Pine Bush Rebels White on July 21 at Pine Bush Town Park.
The Rebels led 3-2 after the first inning, but the Hawks took the lead for good with two runs in the second. Pine Bush scored their only other run in the bottom of the sixth inning.


PB Rebels White 9, Middletown Cubs 8
The tops of the order did the damage as the Pine Bush Rebels White walked off the Middletown Cubs on July 23 in Pine Bush Town Park with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Cubs opened with three runs in the first, but the Rebels answered with four in the bottom of the first. The two teams scored three runs each in the third and two runs each in the sixth.

Pine Bush entered the bottom of the sixth inning trailing 8-7.

The Pine Bush Rebels Select split a doubleheader on July 21 at Pine Bush Town Park, which included their first win of the season.
The Elite scored five runs in the second inning and six in the fourth of a four-inning game. Pine Bush scored two in the first, two in the third and another run in the fourth.
The Rebels scored three runs in the first inning on their way to their first win of the season. The Elite scored their single run in the first inning. The Rebels scored in every inning except the fifth.


13U Division 3
OC Smash Columbia 10, Pine Bush Rebels 5
OC Smash Columbia 8, Pine Bush Rebels 2
The Pine Bush Rebels were swept in a doubleheader on Wednesday at Pine Bush Town Park.

The Smash got off to a slow start in the first game but scored five runs in the fifth inning to take the lead for good, and then added three more in the sixth inning.
After losing a 3-2 lead, the Rebels scored two runs in the fifth inning.
The Rebels scored single runs in the second and third, but the Smash built a 6-2 lead on their way to a second-game victory. The Rebels made four errors.


14U Division 3

Playoffs
First Round
No. 6 Assault Bravo 10, No. 11 Wallkill Panthers 3
The Assault Bravo scored early and often as they eliminated the Wallkill Panthers from the playoffs on Saturday at Reis Field in Somers.
Bravo scored three runs in the first and one more in the third to take a 4-0 lead. They added five more over the next two innings to take a 9-0 lead, their largest of the game.
Dominic Russo doubled and drove in a run while A.J. Santacroce and John Harrington each had a hit and a run scored. Gavin Usewicz had two hits and a run scored.

14U Division 4
Hudson Valley Storm Two, 13,
Mount Vernon Phillies 3
Mount Vernon Phillies 7,

Hudson Valley Storm Two 3
The Hudson Valley Storm Two split a doubleheader on July 20 with the Mount Vernon Phillies sat Mount Vernon High school.
Aiden Schnitzer led the Storm in the first game with three hits, two runs scored and an RBI, while Tyler Graham had a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Will Hart singled, drove in two runs and scored twice. Trystan Rosario had a hit and two RBIs and Mickey Flynn doubled and drove in three runs. Josh Wager got the win.
The Storm fell behind 7-0 as they lost the nightcap. They scored all three of their runs in the sixth inning. They were no-hit in the game.

Mahopac 12, Hudson Valley Storm Two 7

The Hudson Valley Storm Two saw a one-run lead turn into a three-run deficit as Mahopac scored four runs in the fifth inning on July 22 at Crane Park in Mahopac.
Chris Stevens doubled, scored and drove in a run and Tyler Graham had a hit, a run scored and two RBIs.

Pine Bush Rebels 3, Hudson Valley Heroes 3
Jack Murphy had two hits and a run scored as the Pine Bush Rebels battled the Hudson Valley Heroes to a tie on July 23 at Red Rooster Field in Staatsburg.
Joshua Szigethy and Aiden Byrne each drove in a run for the Rebels.

The game was tied at 2-2 after seven innings and both teams scored a run each in the eighth inning before the game was stopped.

No. 10 Pine Bush Rebels 9,
No. 7 Mount Vernon Phillies 0

Vincenzo Rubino had three hits, a run scored, and an RBI as the Rebels eliminated Mount Vernon on Saturday at Mount Vernon High School.
Robbie Cummings had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI, while David Vega had a hit and two RBIs to lead the Rebels, who advanced to the quarterfinals against No. 2 Larchmont-Mamaroneck Tigers.

Pine Bush Rebels 8

Ryan Hoffman had three hits, including a triple and drove in five runs and scored four as the Hudson Valley Red Storm beat the Pine Bush Rebels on Wednesday at Chapel Field Christian School in Pine Bush.
J.J. Alicia had a hit, two runs scored and three RBIs. Connor Quirk added a hit and two RBIs with a run scored. Ryan Beaulieu led Pine Bush with two hits and three RBIs.

15U Crossover
Pine Bush Rebels 13, Westchester Fire 2
Pine Bush Rebels 19, Westchester Fire 4

The Pine Bush Rebels swept a doubleheader from the Westchester Fire on July 20 at Pine Bush Town Park.
Payton Malm had two hits, two runs scored, and two RBIs and Cody Randazzo had two hits, two runs scored, and three RBIs as the Rebels scored 210 runs in the first inning to win the first game in five innings by the 10-run rule.
Malm had another three hits, four runs scored and three RBIs in Pine Bush’s win in the nightcap. Tommy Sciascia had two doubles, three runs scored and five RBIs. Connor Amiel had a hit, a run scored and two RBIs. This game was also called after five innings by the 10-run rule.

15U Division 3
Rockland Elite 16, Pine Bush Rebels 7

Rockland Elite 7, Pine Bush Rebels 4
The Rebels were swept in a doubleheader on July 21 at Pine Bush Town Park.
Tommy Sciascia had three hits, including two doubles and two RBIs to lead the Rebels. Payton Malm had a hit and a run scored.
Brayden Tuttle had two hits and a run scored as Pine Bush lost the second game despite scoring four runs in the fifth inning.

15U Division 4

The Hudson Valley Storm Chapel Field swept a doubleheader from the Mid Hudson Tigers on July 20 at Chapel Field Christian School in Pine Bush.
Easton Vellenga had two hits, a run scored and an RBI and Ryan Hoffman had two hits and an RBI to lead the Storm. Michael Fisch had a hit, a run scored and an RBI.
Christopher Grant doubled twice, scored two runs and drove in two runs in the second game, while Hoffman had two hits and two runs scored. Luke Hollo had two hits, including a double, a run scored and three RBIs.

Hudson Valley Two 9,
Hudson Valley Storm CF 8
Declan Gardner had two hits, a run scored and two RBIs, leading Hudson Valley Two to a win over Hudson Valley Storm CF on July 22 at Chapel Field Christian School.

Aiden Schnitzer doubled and drove in a run. He also scored a run. Jon VanVlak had a hit, a run scored and two RBIs for the Storm.
James Rogers led Chapel Field with two hits, including a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. Connor Quirk had a hit and an RBI. Jonah Falkena had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

16U Division 3
Pine Bush Rebels 4, Patterson Pirates 3
Jason Hutchinson had three hits, including a double, and three runs scored, leading the Rebels to a win over the Pirate Pirates on July 20 at Pine Bush Town Park.

Hutchinson’s double gave the Rebels a walk-off win.
Brayden Tuttle had two hits and an RBI and Aiden Brophy had a hit and an RBI.

Pine Bush Rebels 14, Saugerties Dutchmen 4
Cody Mallon doubled, scored two runs and drove in three, lifting the Pine Bush Rebels to a win over the Saugerties Dutchmen on July 23 at Pine Bush Town Park.
Josiah Hutchinson had a hit and two RBIs for the Rebels. Mikey Vesely had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

16U Crossover
Naturals 7, Pine Bush Rebels 4
Pine Bush Rebels 10, Naturals 1
The Pine Bush Rebels split a doubleheader with the Naturals on July 21 at Pine Bush Town Park.
The Naturals scored seven runs in the sixth inning to erase the Rebels’ 3-0 lead. Aiden Brophy tripled, scored two runs and drove in two runs for the Rebels.
A six-run sixth inning lifted the Rebels to a win over the Naturals in the second game. Liam Tuttle had two hits, a run scored and two RBIs and Brian Murtaugh had two hits, a run scored and two RBIs.

High School/Legion Crossover
Shrub Oak Tigers 8,
Hudson Valley Storm Two 6
The Shrub Oak Tigers scored four runs in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth inning to beat the Hudson Valley Storm Two on July 22 at Lakeland High School.

Mikey Bonagura had two hits, a run scored and two RBIs, and Anthony Daley had a hit, a run scored and an RBI. Mike Daley had a hit, two runs scored and an RBI.

Hudson Valley storm One 7, Kent White Sox 2
A.J. Grant struck out 11 batters as the Hudson Valley Storm One finished the regular season with a 7-2 win over the Kent White Sox on Wednesday at Delano-Hitch Stadium.
Connor Griffin had a hit and two RBIs to lead the Storm.
Grant doubled and Xavier Vargas doubled and scored a run. Tyler Valentin had two hits and two RBIs.

No. 2 Hudson Valley Storm One 5, NO. 7 Bombers 3
A.J. Grant had two hits, including a double and Jaysean Ayala had a hit and an RBI, as the Hudson Valley Storm One opened the playoffs with a win on Saturday at New Windsor Little League.
Logan Gilbert had a hit, a run scored and an RBI. Xavier McKnight had two hits and a run scored.
