Isaac Cruz scored seven goals, leading the Pine Bush boys’ lacrosse team to a 16-8 win over Highland on Wednesday at Highland High School.
Cruz also had an assist for the Bushmen (5-8, 2-2), who trailed 4-2 after the first quarter, but shutout the Huskies 4-0 in the second to build a halftime lead. The game was also delayed for an hour at halftime due to weather.
The Bushmen controlled the second half, outscoring the Huskies 10-4 for the victory.
Evan Jaloszynski added four goals for the Bushmen and Jack Galloway had a goal and four assists. Danny DeGroodt had a goal and two assists. Clifford Budney, Trevor Schmidt and Josiah Cruz had a goal each. Dominik Masi added an assist.
Dennis McDermott made four saves in goal for the Bushmen.
The Bushmen opened the week with an 11-4 win over Goshen.
