Gardiner Library hosts Sashiko Stitching with Denise Aumick on Saturday May 14, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Sashiko is a popular type of traditional Japanese embroidery. Adults and ages 12+ will hand stitch a Sashiko design onto a piece of cloth that can be used to decorate jackets, jeans, pillows, etc. Denise has been sewing for decades and has a passion for sharing the creative and therapeutic benefits of hand stitching with others. She is also a visual artist who creates with paints, papers, and other materials. $10 per person includes all materials needed. Registration is required on the online calendar at www.gardinerlibrary.org.

The library is located at 133 Farmer’s Turnpike in Gardiner.
