A big thank you to the Village of Montgomery leaders, police and public works department employees for our most recent Montgomery Day festivities.

Every year things seem to run more smoothly. The police kept good order, even tamping down a bunch of teenagers fighting before the fireworks. Most amazingly, by the following day the public works department employees cleaned up nearly every trace of garbage strewn by the thousands of visitors the day attracts.

To Mayor Steve Brescia, Police Chief William Herlihy, and Superintendent of Public Works Buddy Nelson, thank you for a tough job very well done.
