Maybrook’s Deputy Mayor steps down

After many years of service to Maybrook, Deputy Mayor Robert Pritchard said good-bye Monday after the village board meeting. It was his last meeting as he has resigned his seat and will move to Colorado.

“It’s been a very interesting ride,” Pritchard said, going through the economic development process of “putting the pieces together” on which he has concentrated during his years here. “Thank you for all your support. It has been a very effective team.”

Pritchard joined the board in 2010 “eagerly”, said Mayor Dennis Leahy.

“He has been a tremendous asset,” Leahy said, pointing to the on-going massive Galaxy development project in particular which Pritchard has taken the lead on. “I appreciate everything he has done and wish him and his family all the best.”

That sentiment was echoed by other board members.

“May God bless you and your family,” said Trustee James Barnett, who also worked closely with Pritchard in Maybrook scouting for 14 years.
